I have to say that was well put and I don't think that for one second you are in any way, shape or form an overprotective mother. When it comes to our children, I honestly don't think there is such a thing. It's the strong love that keeps them protected during those young years where they are still forming who they are, that are the most important. As someone with three boys and a girl, all I can say is raising boys is WAY easier, and us girls are nothing but trouble from day one. Oh, we bring lots of joy, happiness, empathy, compassion and love, but on that flip-side, we are the ones running everything on the d.l. and calling the shots with you know what, and so I just have to say, god help men. :) So Jillian, I will say some serious prayers for you and your brood because that time is a coming for your daughters and by the sound of it, already here.

ReplyDeleteWe put a flat 'no dating' including 'going out' until the age of 16 - 15ish - IF you're lucky. She can like but NO dating. I feel your pain sister!!
